New Kickstarter feature: Add-ons

A relatively recent platform change that Kickstarter made allows backers to ADD-ON a-la-carte reward items to their main reward choices.

What may seem like a simple change can have a SIGNIFICANT impact on making your reward ideas more flexible and more profitable! Using the ADD-ON item feature will allow backers to very simply include EXTRA items with their current reward (on an individual item basis).

This awesome feature will allow you to create LESS overall rewards choices (which take up more project page real estate) by not having to create multiple reward combinations with the same items. Now backers can choose a second t-shirt design or add an extra vinyl copy of an album with EASE.

Some additional notes–

  • T-shirts make a great add-on

  • Handwritten items work here (like lyrics or dedications) because you can price them accordingly

  • Add-ons are perfect for mixing and matching reward items to your liking

  • Add-ons allow for adding additional shipping costs (good for heavier items)

NOTE— Digital only rewards will NOT allow for physical add-on items.
